I have a confession to make. I have a new favorite Microsoft Dynamics NAV industry solution: TRIMIT Fashion.
TRIMIT is a total solution for apparel and fashion companies built on Microsoft Dynamics NAV. TRIMIT is aimed at customers in the industries of fashion, furniture, and nearly any configuration-based manufacturing and/or distribution enterprise. I am extremely excited about this product for a number of reasons. It handles component variations for finished goods and raw material components beautifully. Color, size, dimensions, materials, etc. are easily added and maintained for items without causing unnecessary database clutter or requiring the manual management of individual items for every variation. TRIMIT helps manage the entire operation from quote/order, to production, to shipping the product out the door and on its way to your customer! Throughout the process, you have the ability to configure and customize TRIMIT on the front-end using data rather than code, reducing the need for modifications that later make it more difficult to upgrade.
That brings me to TRIMIT’s low-cost upgrade methodology. TRIMIT is designed to be as non-invasive as possible. They provide the tools for us as partners and you, our customers, to perform additional modifications as needed without actually affecting native Dynamics NAV code. This is a tremendous value for our customers, as it makes future upgrades much faster and significantly less time-consuming (and therefore less costly).
