What is Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is Microsoft’s newest SMB ERP offering, becoming generally available in 19 countries across the globe as of October 2018. At the time, it acted as a new name for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Business edition and the official name of Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 “Tenerife” project (and “Project Madeira before that).
Now, Business Central has brought full Dynamics NAV functionality to a SaaS environment and anchors the future of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV roadmap, offering cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployment options as part of the wider Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution offering

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Continuous Updates
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central continues to get better. Microsoft published the release notes for all the Dynamics 365 applications and the Power Platform, unveiling all the new features that will be released between April and September of this year. For those who don’t know, Microsoft plans to update Dynamics 365 twice a year going forward, in April and again in October.
The April 2019 release of new Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central enhancements is geared towards improvements to the user productivity. It will now deliver a more personalized experience – users can personalize the action bar on every page, navigation bar on role centers, quick entry fields, etc.
The enablement of more keyboard-centric scenarios and features – such as document focus mode; work date indicator; and the ability to save personalized list filters – will make users’ lives easier and help them to stay focused.
This release also addresses and incorporates feature feedback received from users (autosave indicator, filters in Excel reports, and much more).
Power Platform users (Power BI, Microsoft Flow, Power Apps and the Common Data Service users) will benefit from this release too. Mary Jo Foley summarizes these benefits aptly in this ZDNet article titled “Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 April ’19 Update: What’s New.” Mary Jo Foley also explains “Why Microsoft’s ‘Power Platform’ is one of its biggest bets for 2019 and beyond.” As evidenced by Dynamics 365’s prominence in the most current earnings release, the Power Platform is central to Microsoft’s long-term strategy. This bodes extremely well for Dynamics 365 customers well into the foreseeable future.
Microsoft Cloud Strength Fuels Growth
‘Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and Power platform on top of what we’re doing with Azure is the core of what we are doing as a company’

How Much Does Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Cost?
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is available at two price points: Essentials and Premium.
