Confession — when Sage purchased Intacct in 2017, many of us wrung our hands just a bit and questioned – is Sage Intacct ERP better off now? What would happen to this robust cloud accounting and ERP solution that had been growing and gaining market share in the U.S. market since 1999? Would Sage be good for Intacct, and vice versa? Fast forward a year, and we can unequivocally say that the marriage is a happy one and Sage Intacct ERP is better, stronger, and faster than ever. Here’s why we think that way.
Advantage — How is Sage Intacct ERP Better
We’re freshly back from Sage Intacct Advantage, the annual partner and user conference. We’ve been to enough conferences to know that a lot of self-promotion goes on, and while Advantage had plenty of hype, Sage has backed it up with real meat. There were some great classes to enhance our product knowledge, the opportunity to learn about the vendors and products in the Sage Intacct Marketplace, and the introduction of the upcoming enhancements in the next quarterly release, along with three new modules packing powerful functionality.
Sage Intacct ERP Budgeting and Planning
Sage Intacct ERP is known for its strong, multi-dimensional financial management engine, and this additional module strengthens its position. Budgeting and Planning streamlines and improves the budget planning process for small and midsize businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets, the native Intacct budgeting functionality, and emailing for collaborative budgeting and forecasting.
Interactive Custom Report Writer
This new module enables users to build custom reports quickly and easily with hierarchical field selection, drag-and-drop functionality, and automatic formatting and simple subtotaling. The rich interactivity enables users to pivot, filter, sort, and expand data to model and answer specific business questions.
Allocations can be time-consuming and error prone, but also vital to understanding organizational performance. Sage Intacct Dynamic Allocations enables companies to save time and effort, reduce errors, and increase transparency into organizational performance by streamlining the month end process of allocating revenue and expenditures based on complex business drivers.
These three new modules are now available, and we’ll be covering their functionality in greater detail in upcoming posts. We saw this functionality in action during the event and were impressed — there’s something here to benefit every organization. It’s clear that Sage understands what its customers need to run successful businesses and is on a path of continual improvement to meet those needs.
Collaboration works for you
Silverware has enjoyed a long partnership with Sage, and we’ve always been impressed with the company’s commitment to its customers and its partners. The Sage Intacct team continues to carry the torch with programs that educate, inform, and support both end customers and business partners. With Sage and Silverware on your side, we think you’re in good hands.
Sage brings the bucks
We like what we’re seeing from Sage. The software giant’s deep pockets and commitment to the cloud are leading to significant investments in the Sage Intacct product line. We have every indication that Sage is positioning Sage Intacct as its flagship ERP solution for the small and mid-market segment, with all the attention and resources that go with that designation.
Silverware brings the brawn
We speak a lot about the value a business partner brings to ERP implementations — including Cloud ERP implementations. You might wonder if you even need a partner with Cloud solutions — and the answer is yes, you do.
A software publisher simply cannot be expected to understand your business the way a business partner can. It’s not part of their business model. They don’t have time to speak with your users, to review the reports you need, or to consider where you want to be a year from now. Publishers typically don’t have the real-world business experience, accounting backgrounds, and deep industry experience that many business partners amass. Business partners like Silverware can be counted on to help you leverage new product functionality in your organization. We understand how you operate, and we understand how Sage Intacct works — a combination that shouldn’t be underestimated.
So, is Sage Intacct ERP better than ever? Absolutely yes — and getting better all the time. Curious to learn more about Sage, Sage Intacct, or Silverware? Contact a Silverware consultant to start the discussion.
